Echigo Seika Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture; President and CEO: Yoshihara Tadahiko) has decided to revise the prices and specifications of its rice cracker products, as well as to discontinue sales, starting in September 2025.

　The current market environment is characterized by difficulties in procuring product of Japanally produced rice, the main ingredient, due to a decline in yields, as well as a significant increase in the prices of some ingredients, continued increases in energy costs, and rising shipping costs due to changes in the logistics environment. Our company has taken various measures, such as streamlining production, to absorb these cost increases, but we are unable to absorb them through corporate efforts alone and are finding it difficult to maintain the current quality.

　Under these circumstances, in order to continue supplying high-quality, safe and secure products, we would like to ask you to revise the prices and specifications of our rice cracker products as well as discontinue sales.
