It's delicious and just right.
Echigoseika's "Japanese rice"

The secret of deliciousness is the delicious water of Uonuma, Koshihikari from Niigata, and the technology of Echigo Seika!

The rice used for "Japanese Rice" is Koshihikari rice from Niigata, a rice-producing region. The water used to cook it comes from the abundant water of Uonuma. The key to the deliciousness of "Japanese Rice" is the attention to detail in the rice and water. Furthermore, Echigo Seika uses "pressure cooking," which increases the pressure when cooking the rice. This increases the fluffiness and stickiness of the cooked rice.

Enjoy a healthy diet with a light bowl of "120g"!

Echigoseika's "Japanese rice" is 120g, which is a small volume for packed rice.A typical product weighs 200g, which is about 60%.Actually, there is a reason for this "120g".According to the Japanese Food Guide Spinning Top of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the standard unit of staple food (carbohydrate source such as rice and bread) in daily meals is "carbohydrate 40g".It is a calculation that you can get 120g of carbohydrates with rice and about 40g.A light cup in a bowl. One for rice balls. One pack of "Japanese rice" is the perfect amount to balance your diet as a staple food.

It's delicious even when it's cold!Perfect for busy mornings!

Echigo Seika's "Japanese Rice" is pressure-cooked, so it's delicious even when cold. It's perfect for lunch boxes, and it's the perfect size for making rice balls. Its firm texture makes it delicious to eat. Of course, it's also perfect for breakfast. The glucose in rice is an important source of energy for the brain, and is an essential nutrient for starting an active day.

Echigo Seika's "Japanese Rice" is Echigo Uonuma Mizutaki!
Delicious and even more eco-friendly!

We want to break the conventional wisdom of packaged rice. Echigo Seika's "Japanese Rice" breaks the conventional wisdom of packaged rice in every aspect, including shape, size, taste, and aroma. The rice is, of course, Koshihikari rice from Niigata Prefecture. It is cooked in the pure water of Echigo Uonuma, where Echigo Seika is located. Each package contains 1g of rice in a perfectly round container. This is the same volume as "one light bowl of rice," and is about 120% of the size of a typical packaged rice. It is a size that can be easily eaten for breakfast, etc.

We have also put a lot of thought into the packaging. By using a container that does not use adhesives, we have eliminated the unique "smell" that was previously thought to be unique to packaged rice. You can now enjoy the delicious aroma of freshly cooked rice. In addition, the materials used for this container are about 1/5 of those used in conventional products, making it less bulky and easier to dispose of, which also leads to resource conservation.

For dieting and meals for babies and the elderly
"Japanese rice" is perfect!

The slightly smaller 120g is just right!

Echigo Seika's "Japanese Rice" is a little small at 120g, which is about the size of a bowl of rice. Therefore, it is recommended not only for dieters, but also for babies and the elderly.

Even on busy mornings, it only takes about 1 minute in the microwave. Lunch boxes are a breeze!

Echigo Seika's "Japanese Rice" can be cooked in the microwave for about one minute. Hot Niigata Koshihikari rice is great for breakfast, and even when it cools down, it's fluffy and sticky, so it's delicious in a lunch box. It has a long Best Before of about one year, so you can make rice right away when you need it. The thin container makes it difficult for rice grains to stick, and it's easy to transfer to a lunch box. The thin and small container also helps reduce waste.

Additive-free, sterile packaging that's safe for children!

Echigo Seika's "Japanese Rice" is made with carefully selected ingredients and undergoes strict quality control, so even small children can eat it with peace of mind. No acidulants are used, and "Japanese Rice" is made only with Koshihikari rice from Niigata and water from Uonuma. At the factory, the rice is cooked in the pack and sealed in that state, so there is no contamination by impurities due to transfer. The containers are made of highly safe polypropylene without the use of adhesives.

Easy and convenient even for the elderly!
Echigo Seika is particular about "opening power"

Echigoseika's "Japanese rice" is perfect for the elderly. "A light cup in a bowl" is a good volume for those who have thin food.Even if it remains, it can be enjoyed again by freezing it.And the unexpected blind spot of packed rice is the "power" required when opening. It is natural that "Japanese rice" is tightly sealed, but we also paid particular attention to its ease of opening.Since the film can be peeled off with a small amount of force, it is safe for elderly people who are worried about the decline in force.

I'll do it so far, so it will be delicious!
Discerning manufacturing method of "Japanese rice"

Raw Rice

All of the rice used in Echigo Seika's "Japanese Rice" is Koshihikari rice produced in Niigata. The carefully selected Brown rice is stored at low temperatures to maintain its freshness. After that, each grain is selected using an electronic eye to check for pebbles and other foreign objects. After polishing, the rice is thoroughly washed, so there is no unwanted "bran smell" remaining in the rice. The rice is soaked in the abundant water of Uonuma to allow it to soak up plenty of delicious water. The deliciousness of "Japanese Rice" is only possible thanks to the bounty of nature.

Container injection

"Japanese rice" uses polypropylene containers that can be heated to over 100 degrees Celsius. It is a single material, and the lid is also sealed by pressure.Since no adhesive is used, there is no unpleasant "smell".In addition, rice and water are poured directly into the pack container and cooked as it is, so there is no need to transfer rice.Echigoseika's "Japanese rice" is cooked with a thorough risk of contamination by foreign substances and bacteria.

Cooked rice

The rice packed in the packaging is arranged in several layers on a tray and steamed. This process corresponds to what we call cooking rice. It is done for 100 minutes in steam at over 30 degrees. After that, a 10-minute steaming period is added, which is almost the same as when cooking rice at home. At this stage, the packaging is not yet sealed, so steam is allowed to escape moderately. It is the same as the steam that rises from a rice cooker. When the rice is done cooking, the lid is sealed perfectly.

Cooling / inspection

The packaged rice is air-cooled to gently remove the rough heat and cut into packs. After that, inspect the package for pinholes (small holes), and then pass it through X-rays to check for foreign matter contamination. This is not the end of the check. Finally, we will also visually check. What's more, at peak production, this test is done on all over 1 meals a day.Echigoseika's "Japanese rice" aims to be a new era of packed rice with deliciousness, just size, and thorough hygiene management.

The industry is also surprised!
Echigo Seika's "Japanese Rice" is surprisingly amazing

Echigoseika's "Japanese rice"
Eco-friendly packaging

Echigo Seika's "Japanese Rice" uses 1/1 of the packaging materials per meal (compared to our previous product), which means that less material is used, the container size is much smaller than previous products, and it is also 5/1 the thickness, so it doesn't take up much space when you throw it away after eating.

Overturning conventional wisdom about containers leads to deliciousness

Echigo Seika's "Nihon no Gohan" uses a packaging material "single material of polypropylene" and does not use adhesive resin. In fact, many of the conventional product containers are made by laminating multiple materials with adhesive resin. The so-called "peculiar smell of packed rice" that is worrisome when heated in the microwave is actually due to this adhesive resin. "Japanese rice" does not use this adhesive resin, so when you warm it up and open the pack, you can smell the freshly cooked rice.

"Pressurized cooking" brings out the best flavor in rice

Echigo Seika uses a pressure cooking method to bring out the deliciousness of the rice. As the old-fashioned way of cooking delicious rice goes, "Start by letting it drip, then let it drip, then don't take the lid off even if the baby cries," each serving is cooked slowly and carefully, and the pressure is increased halfway through to bring out the rice's stickiness and flavor.
